Buy NowSomewhere in the middle of Toronto, Ontario it was announced today, October 1st, 2025, that Crave Media is set to produce a new comedy series entitled, I KILL THE BEAR.
I KILL THE BEAR will be Jared Keeso's next project, presumably from a production deal that Crave / New Metric Media signed with the Letterkenny and Shoresy actor in late 2023. Keeso is set to star in the TV show, as well as have a heavy hand in it's creation and writing.
What is I KILL THE BEAR about?
The comedy series is rumored to take place in Sudbury, Ontario, the same place where it will be filmed. Sudbury is the real life town where they both film and depict Shoresy and his Blueberry Bulldogs playing in the NOSHO.
If you thought Sudbury got weird before, it feels like I KILL THE BEAR will challenge that weirdness, as the show will depcit a family of Bear Wranglers who, according to Bell Media, wrangle bears for film sets. Apparently this family, and their associated friends, have decided to hang up their bear wrangling cleats after 100 years of service to the film industry.
Will I KILL THE BEAR feature Shoresy & Letterkenny crossover?
It's doubtful that any of the characters featured in Keeso's other Canadian series will appear in I KILL THE BEAR. That said, much like LK, it is possible that famous Letterkenny quotes or Shoresy's chirps make it into the series' dialogue.
When does Season One of I KILL THE BEAR premiere?
I KILL THE BEAR will premiere in 2026.
Where can I watch I KILL THE BEAR?
If the trend follows, you will be able to watch I KILL THE BEAR on Crave in Canada and on Hulu in the United States. There is no teaser or trailer for the show at this time other than the announcement for the show.

What does a bear wrangler do?
In short, a wrangler handles livestock and other animals, in this case bears. The term wrangle itself roughly translates to wrestle, but has evolved to mean, "... an individual involved in the process of taming, controlling and handling various animals, specifically horses."
Because it's a comedy, we're sure to see some hilarious bear wrestling, probably after the characters have had a few pints of Puppers Beer or cans of BroDude.
Bears weigh between 300-1,200 pounds / 136-544 kilograms based on age and variety, so this ought to get pretty silly fast. Sure, Wayne was the toughest guy in Letterkenny, but a thousand pound bear?
